More and more clubs and players are looking for tools that make matches faster, more precise, and more professional. In that context, Kronoset has become a reference: a digital scoreboard without cables or remotes, controlled directly with the racket.
If you’re wondering how it works, here’s a step-by-step explanation.
If you already know what you need, go straight to the padel scoreboard product page. And if you are weighing a scoreboard against a phone app, we compare them in this article.
1️⃣ What is Kronoset?
Kronoset is an electronic scoreboard — also called a padel score board or point counter — designed for padel courts, both for clubs and personal use.
Its main advantage is simplicity: players can add or subtract points by moving their racket close to the sensor — no apps, phones, or referees needed.
It includes:
-
A high-visibility LED display, readable from 30 metres.
-
Two racket detection sensors, one per team.
-
Six game modes, each with its own LED colour.
2️⃣ Quick and cable-free installation
Kronoset is designed so anyone can install it in under a minute:
-
Attach the scoreboard to the court: with suction cups on the glass or hooks on the fence, whichever suits your court. No drilling, no tools. The two suction cups hold 30 kg each and the scoreboard weighs 1 kg: on clean glass, it does not move. The hooks come in the box. Recommended height: around 1.70 m.
-
Connect the power: the PRO has the battery built in, so there is nothing to do. The base model runs over USB-C from a power outlet or from an external power bank, which is not included.
-
Select the game mode using the side button.
-
That’s it! Bring your racket close to the sensor to start scoring.
No Wi-Fi, power outlet, or technical setup required.
3️⃣ How to add or subtract points
Kronoset has one light sensor per pair. You cover it with your racket and the scoreboard picks it up:
-
Hold the racket for 1 second in front of the sensor → adds a point.
-
Hold for 3 seconds → subtracts a point.
-
Hold for 6 seconds → resets the scoreboard.
The screen automatically updates the score (15, 30, 40, game) and keeps count of games and sets according to the selected mode.
4️⃣ Available game modes
Kronoset has six game modes. You switch between them with the button on the unit, and the colour of the LED shows which one is active:
-
1 · Advantage (red LED) → best of 3 sets, 6 games per set. Classic padel.
-
2 · Golden point with Super Tiebreak (green) → best of 3 sets, 6 games per set, with Super Tiebreak.
-
3 · Golden point (blue) → golden point all match, best of 3 sets.
-
4 · Advantage to 9 games (yellow) → best of 3 sets, 9 games, with Super Tiebreak.
-
5 · American Padel (magenta) → the americano format: games to 21 points, and whoever wins 2 games wins the match.
-
6 · Star Point (cyan) → best of 3 sets, 6 games, max. 2 advantages (FIP 2026).
To see which mode the scoreboard is in, just look at the colour of the LED. Every mode is explained in the Kronoset manual.
5️⃣ Power supply and weather resistance
The Kronoset PRO has a built-in battery: over 20 matches per charge, and nothing else is needed. The base model runs over USB-C from a power outlet or from an external power bank (sold separately).
On weather resistance, we should say it plainly: Kronoset is built for indoor use. It is not made to withstand rain, so on open-air courts it has to be taken down — and that takes seconds, because it holds with suction cups and nothing is screwed in. If you want the detail of where and how it goes —suction cups on the glass, hooks on the fence, at what height— it is all in the installation guide.
6️⃣ Benefits for clubs and players
-
No scoring errors or disputes.
-
Professional appearance for tournaments and leagues.
-
A smoother, more modern playing experience.
-
Easy to rent at a small fee to generate extra income.
🏁 In summary
Kronoset combines design, technology, and simplicity to deliver a more professional and comfortable playing experience.
It requires no complex installation or maintenance and can instantly transform the image of any club.
