Shipping, customs and warranty

Delivery times

Orders leave our warehouse in Spain and usually arrive within 5 to 12 days, in Spain and everywhere else alike. You will get the tracking number by email as soon as the parcel is on its way.

Shipping costs

  • Spain: free, no minimum order.
  • Everywhere else: €40 flat, whatever you order.

Import duties and taxes

If you are buying from outside the European Union, your country's customs may charge import duties or VAT when the parcel arrives.

Those charges are collected by your own government, not by us, which is why they are not included in the price or in the €40 shipping. They vary by country and by order value, so we cannot work them out in advance.

Returns

You have 14 days from receiving your order to request a return, as long as the product is unused and in its original packaging. Write to info@kronoset.com and we will send you the instructions.

Return shipping is at the customer's expense. We do not issue prepaid return labels, and the parcel has to reach our warehouse in Barcelona.

This does not apply if the product arrives faulty or damaged, or if we sent you the wrong item: in those cases we cover the return ourselves. Let us know as soon as you open the parcel.

Warranty

Every Kronoset scoreboard comes with a 3-year warranty, and it covers the part that is down to us: that the device works. That means manufacturing and component faults — the display, the sensors, the electronics and, on the PRO, the battery. If any of that fails, write to info@kronoset.com and we will sort it out.

Drops and knocks are not covered, and here is why

A scoreboard that has fallen is not covered by the warranty, however it happened. This is not a clause for wriggling out of things, so we would rather explain the reason.

The Kronoset is not screwed or built into anything: you fit it yourself, with the suction cups on the glass or with the hooks on the fence, and you can take it down and move it to another court in a minute. That is exactly its advantage. It is also what puts the fitting beyond our reach: whether the glass was clean, whether the cup was pressed home properly, how high it was hung, whether somebody took it down, or whether a ball hit it. We can answer for a circuit board. We cannot answer for a knock against the floor.

How to stop it falling, which is what actually matters

  • Clean the glass before you fit it. Suction cups grip poorly over dust, dry dirt or cleaning-product residue. Wipe the area with a damp cloth, dry it, then fit the cup. If the glass is cold and damp, dry it well: a cup on water will slide even when it looks like it has gripped.
  • Press the centre of each cup until it sits flat against the glass.
  • Tug it gently to check. If it shifts, take it off and do it again. It takes ten seconds and it saves the whole problem.
  • On courts with mesh or fencing, use the hooks, which come in the box. Do not force a suction cup where there is no smooth glass.
  • Check the grip every so often, especially if the scoreboard has been up for weeks or if the court gets dusty.

Suction cups are a wear part: over time the rubber hardens and grips less. If you notice it has lost its hold, replace it. We sell replacement mounts for €8, which work out a great deal cheaper than a scoreboard on the floor.

What else is outside the warranty

  • Water. The Kronoset is for indoor use and must not get wet.
  • Normal wear of the suction cups and the mount.
  • Damage caused by opening or tampering with the inside of the device.

None of this affects the rights the law of your own country gives you as a buyer. And if you are unsure about your particular case, write to info@kronoset.com first: we would rather look at it with you than leave you wondering.
