Ronco and Lacamoire go back-to-back in Karachi; Santamaria and Sol Perez win in Pakistan

Pakistan has its first CUPRA FIP Tour champions. Adrian Ronco and Julian Lacamoire won the men's draw of FIP Bronze Pakistan I on Sunday 4 October at the Padelverse club in Karachi, beating Pablo Pastor and Agustin Reca 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 in the final. In the women's draw, Ainize Santamaria and Gimena Sol Perez took the title with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Nika Sluzhiteleva and Anastasiia Ryzhova.

Two weekends, two titles

For Spain's Ronco and Argentina's Lacamoire it is a second title in a row. A week earlier they had won FIP Bronze Dubai, where they beat top seeds Pablo Sanchez and Ignacio Archieri in the final. Seeded second in Karachi, they delivered again: a 6-3, 6-4 semi-final win over Egypt's Aly Zaghloul and Wagdy Raslan, then a three-set final against third seeds Pastor and Reca. Top seeds Nico Zurita and Diego Arredondo went out in the quarter-finals.

Santamaria and Sol Perez, the top seeds, were in control from start to finish. They dropped only six games all week and beat Gabriela Andrade and Asfa Shahbaz 6-1, 6-2 in the semi-finals, the same score as the final. It is Santamaria's fourth title of the year on the circuit, after Joinville, Dakar and Budapest. Sol Perez is also on a two-title streak, having won in Dubai alongside Angelina Neizvestnaya.

A debut that counts

FIP Bronze Pakistan I was the first CUPRA FIP Tour event ever held in the country, and the International Padel Federation has rated it a success. Pakistan is one of 17 nations hosting a tour stop for the first time in 2026, and the Karachi draws mixed European and South American pairs with local players, several of them on wildcards. For Pakistani padel, the value lies less in who lifted the trophies than in having staged an international tour event at home for the first time, with FIP ranking points at stake.
